Life-Saving Hacks: Make Your Home Child-Safe

Last updated on March 3rd, 2022

Everything changes once you have a baby. Things and situations that appeared all too normal suddenly start seeming dangerous and unthinkable! And you aren’t really wrong in being paranoid about the safety of your little one. But we are here to tell you that you can’t be everywhere all the time. So, let’s get you some help.

Here are 4 must-haves when you have a crawling baby at home, things that are absolute life-savers and will give you some time to breathe during your 24 hour job that being a new parent is!

1.  Get A Baby Gate

There are some spaces in the house, which are an absolute no-no for a baby. Places like the kitchen or the stairs, for instance. And you can’t stand guard all day long to make sure your baby doesn’t find his or her way to these areas. Invest in a couple of baby gates that’ll do the job for you and make sure your little one isn’t near places that are off-limits.

2. Cover the Edges of Your Furniture

As they take their first steps, babies will bump into things. And try as you might, you can’t be there in time to protect them every time they do. Cover the edges of your furniture with corner guards, and you can actually stop holding your breath every time they get too close to sharp furniture edges!

3. Close All Plug Points

You can’t be too careful when your kid starts to walk and begins to explore his surroundings. Especially when there’s electricity involved. Keep all plug points closed using safety covers at all times.

4. Use Furniture Straps

Use furniture straps, so that all the heavy furniture and appliances stay put in their places and don’t topple or cause accidents whenever your baby gets too curious.

Let’s keep them safe and watch them bloom!
